Urquhart ClanCrest and Tartan
In the 14th century, William Urquhart was sheriff of Cromarty and his son, Adam, became hereditary sheriff. Sir Thomas Urquhart had 25 sons. Fourteen of his sons died in the Battle of Pinkie in 1547. Motto “Mean Speak and Do Well”
