The Knotwork designs are inspired from the Nigg Stone-Ross, Ulbster Stone-Caithness heritage sites in Scotland, the S-form is inspired from a gold shield found in Auvers, France and the Bird design is inspired from the carpet page of the Lindisfarne gospels.
