MacNichol ClanCrest and Tartan
From early times the MacNichols clan seat has been Scorrybreck Castle on Skye. The Highland name was MacNeacail. Nicholson and MacNicols are found in Argyllshire and throughout Scotland. At the Battle of Largs Sir Andrew Nicolson, a Danish knight commanded a warship for king Hako. Motto “Sgorra Bhreac” (Scorrybreck) is the ancestral home and battle cry of the MacNichols.
