MacGillivary ClanCrest and Tartan
The clan Chattan Bond of Union was signed in 1609 by three Clan MacGillivray chiefs. Origionally occupying lands in Lochaber and Morven they were driven out by King Alexander II. They sought the protection of Farquhard Mackintosh, 5th Chief of Mackintosh. The clan was “out in The ’15. Their Chief “Red Alistair of the Cattle” led the clan in a desperate struggle at Culloden. Motto "Touch Not This Cat"
